National Water Week exists with the support of the water industry and organisations who seek to promote the messages of sustainable water use and management.
Partner
National Water Commission
The National Water Commission is responsible for driving progress towards the sustainable management and use of Australia's water resources under our blueprint for water reform - the National Water Initiative. The Commission assesses progress on the national water reform objectives agreed by the Australian, state and territory governments. It does so through its biennial assessments and through other reports on specific aspects of water management, such as the performance of urban water utilities and rural water service providers, the operation of Australian water markets, and the impacts of water trading. To advance its objectives, the Commission also manages the Raising National Water Standards Program and the National Groundwater Action Plan.
