National Water Week Ambassador Initiative
In National Water Week 2011, AWA launched the National Water Week Ambassador Initiative. This new initiative aims to raise community awareness and improve understanding of water issues in Australia and globally. Due to the positive response from schools and community groups, the National Water Week Ambassador Initiative will also run in 2011.
During NWW, a team of volunteer ambassadors who have in depth knowledge of the water sector will be available to visit local schools and community groups to present on a range of different water topics.
Schools and community groups are invited to submit their interest to request an ambassador visit during NWW 2011, held on 16-22 October, to Fleur Johnson, Project Manager - School and Community Education at fjohnson@awa.asn.au
